THE Champion Puppy over at Angle Park has been won by some fine race dogs.

This week’s final includes a bitch called Molley Macallan (Hooked On Scotch-Makani Girl by Worm Burner) who was a 30.97 heat winner last week.

She is another of the progeny of Hooked On Scotch who has a pedigree well worth analysis.

She is line bred 2x2 to Barcia Bale and Christie’s Girl. They are virtual brother and sister.

Barcia Bale, of course, is by Go Wild Teddy from Princess Bale.

Christie’s Girl is by Bartrim Bale, a litter brother to Princess Bale, and from a daughter of Go Wild Teddy.

So, Barcia Bale and Christie’s Girl are a perfect balance for each other, bringing in a SON and DAUGHTER of Go Wild Teddy, and bringing in the FEMALE Princess Bale and the MALE Bartrim Bale.

BUT, it doesn’t end there.

Hooked On Scotch is famously from the “Portrait” family one of the very strongest found in this country.

Molley Macallan’s damsire, Worm Burner has as his damsire Primo Uno who is famously also from the “Portrait” family.

Barcia Bale’s champion son Shima Shine is in-bred to Princess Bale and her half brother Dyna Tron, but his dam is in-bred to the Portrait family.

I wonder if Molley Macallan could be mated to a stud dog “down the track” that brings in a cross of Shima Shine.

WHICH brings me to a dog called Fascinate Samuel.

He won at Wenty on Saturday night in 29.54 but he has already won there in a scorching 29.26.

He is a son of Feral Franky-Deep Diva by Kinda Cruel Red.
